cape IT manufactures and provides KIX, its own open-source service software. KIX is used for a variety of different applications, but is particularly widespread in the technical service and IT service management fields. The company focuses on providing tailored support when it comes to analyzing, implementing, and adapting to specific customer requirements. The company has its main office in Chemnitz and was founded in 2006 as a spin-off from an international IT systems supplier. cape IT currently employs just under 50 experienced, ITIL-certified staff across two locations and is involved in the trade associations Open Source Business Alliance, BITKOM, and itSMF.alität.
