Supported operating systems
and server environments for working with KIX
Standard system requirements for Docker and Docker Compose:
For regular operation on a single instance, a compatible Linux host environment is required. The environment should be based on either Debian or Ubuntu LTS and have an AMD64 architecture. The latest versions of Docker and Docker Compose are also required. Use on macOS or Windows is possible for testing purposes, but not explicitly supported.
- More information is available at docker.com.
- Installation instructions for setting up the KIX Docker containers can be found at github.com.
- More information is also available in the KIX Forum.
Detailed installation instructions and guidance for the initial setup of KIX can be found in our online help.
Kubernetes integration ensures maximum reliability
Thanks to its container architecture, KIX can be deployed on not only Docker, but also Kubernetes. This enables reliable, flexible, and scalable operation in large enterprise environments.
