KIX Expert Days 2021

The service management event in retrospect


The event premiere on June 15 and 16 was a complete success

Since the actual KIX user conference unfortunately could not take place this year either, we went into the virtual event world and launched the KIX Expert Days

The first day was filled with three exciting lectures. Gunter Kröber and Rainer Klempien, managing directors of our certification partner 'emendis', gave a lecture on "ITIL®4 - from the service life cycle to value creation for the customer" and made clear that the value creation jointly designed by the customer and service provider is the focus of all activities and Concepts must stand.

Then Torsten Thau, Product Owner and co-founder of the c.a.p.e. IT, the latest developments in our open source service management software in a nutshell. The new product generation KIX 18 makes many things different and, above all, easier. In addition to modern software architecture, the completely new user interface and usability catch the eye. An integrated, personal Kanban board, offline-capable mobile apps using a modular approach and the option to anonymize ticket data are just a small glimpse of what's to come.

A great user presentation rounded off the first day. Roland Kolbe, IT and online manager at teknihall Elektronik GmbH, reported on the subject of "Closer to the customer - KIX in After Sales Service" in a particularly personal and above all enthusiastic manner. Using his own KIX system, he explained to the participants how the software was implemented in the company and successfully started up within four weeks. Pure enthusiasm spoke from his mouth, both for KIX and for the close and reliable cooperation with c.a.p.e. IT.

The second day was entirely themed: “KIX to join in”. Whether in the all-day admin training for KIX 18 or the workshops on KIX 17 Connect and the KIX 17 tech update: the participants not only had to listen, but were also able to actively try out a wide variety of teaching content and gain valuable know-how in their own KIX environment gain.

The KIX Expert Days were a successful virtual alternative to our annual user conference. Nonetheless, we are already looking to 2022. We keep our fingers crossed that we can all meet again live and directly in Chemnitz for personal exchange and learning next year.
