Rowing Against Cancer: An Affair of the Heart
On June 14, 2025, the “KIX-Crew” participated in the “Rowing Against Cancer” charity regatta on the Elbe at the "Blaues Wunder" in Dresden for the second time.
Action and Purpose
In glorious sunshine, KIX joined 47 other teams and numerous enthusiastic spectators to support the Living with Cancer Foundation. The money supports projects that provide sports and exercise programs for those affected by cancer. These programs help participants cope with the disease and improve their quality of life.
All proceeds from this event come from entry fees, sponsorships, and direct donations from companies and individuals.
The Regatta to Success
The KIX crew started in the 12-boat X1 category, meaning one woman and three men were in the four-person boat. Second place in the preliminary race earned them a direct entry into the semi-final, which they won to qualify for the final.
In the exciting final race, the KIX crew beat the competition with a strong final push and defended their 2024 title.
