KIX 18.36: Improved performance, better team management and a new Kanban board

With the release of KIX 18.36, KIX Service Software has clearly focused on two essential needs of modern service organizations: enhanced performance in daily operations and organized, transparent management of service teams.

Performance improvements at a glance

Every second counts in your daily work. KIX 18.36 includes technical adjustments that reduce loading times and speed up processes. The following overview summarizes the most important new features and improvements.

Optimized Tab Handling
Switching between tabs, such as between the ticket detail view and the actions view, is now significantly faster. Automatic updating of the ticket view when switching tabs without performing an action has been disabled. Updates still occur.

  • or when manually refreshing.

The result is smoother workflows without unnecessary loading processes.

Contact Search in Form Fields Accelerated
The contact search in form fields, such as Cc and Bcc, has been updated. The underlying search attributes are now configurable, significantly improving search performance. Review existing search patterns and adjust them if necessary.

Faster Display in the Team Dashboard
To reduce loading times, the display of locked and internal team tickets has been removed from the team dashboard. This allows the dashboard to load faster and focus on the operational overview

Ready for Kanban in IT service?

KIX 18.36 introduces the new KIX Workforce Management add-on. The central element is an integrated Kanban board that supports service teams in their daily ticket management. It is visual, structured, and flexible.

1. Flexible ticket dispatching
Tickets can be distributed between agents or teams (queues). Assignment is done via drag-and-drop or via icons, even for multiple tickets at the same time. This allows workloads to be managed quickly and transparently.

2. Process Support via Status Boards
Kanban boards can be configured for specific processes using the process status as the criterion for the columns. Additionally, equivalent processes can be grouped and displayed clearly.

3. Read-Only Mode
Read-only mode prevents unintended ticket movement. This is ideal for users who need transparency without actively intervening in ticket distribution.

4. Workload Overview and Control
An integrated heat map visualizes the current workload of agents and teams. You can use work-in-progress limits to control whether additional tickets can be assigned and avoid overload.

5. Standardization Through Configuration Specifications
Kanban boards can be copied and shared, as well as specified centrally. Administrators can provide standard configurations for users to use or customize. This reduces setup effort and ensures consistent working methods.

6. Individual Use as a Personal Dashboard
The Kanban board can replace the personal home dashboard. The following criteria, among others, are available for customization:

  • ticket type, -status, -priority
  • processor, person responsible, team
  • ticket search templates
