Jens Weißflog on the way to KIXCONF
Do you know what high-performance sports and IT have in common and what it takes to stay competitive? Service management athletes take note: Ski jumping legend Jens Weißflog has his personal "learnings and recommendations", which he will share with us at the KIXCONF.
What do high-performance sports and IT have in common?
To achieve peak performance, all processes and equipment must be optimally coordinated. But is that all you need to stay competitive in the long run?
Ski jumping at age 6, national team member at 14, Olympic champion in Sarajevo at 19. That sounds like a runaway success, but it wasn't for Jens Weißflog, the most successful German ski jumper of all time. Ups and downs are part of the sport.
Before the Olympics in Lillehammer, the ski manufacturers hadn't even sent him any more equipment. No one believed in him. He had been one of the most successful ski jumpers for years, but the change from the old parallel system to the new V-style shook the ski jumping world and, unfortunately, the careers of many athletes.
And then he came back to the top and showed everyone. What was the key to his success and what lessons and impulses can IT departments and service management athletes learn at the KIXCONF? We'll find out on June 25th!
